Swift & Sure
Minimize

Swift & Sure

Swift & Sure is one of the most popular JET PRESS gas springs and is available in an extensive range of sizes and end fittings for a wide variety of applications.

Swift & Sure is an entirely self-contained, maintenance free, hydropneumatic ram which is charged under pressure with an inert gas. It has the characteristics of a compression spring which coupled with a small change in force as it extends, provides a controlled rate of movement. At the end of the extension stroke, oil damping occurs due to a hydraulically cushioned zone. These features help protect hinges and mounts by applying constant force with a damped end of travel.

Benefits:
• Self contained unit and maintenance free
• Safe to use with easy positional control
• Custom design, sized to your application - held in stock against your call off order
• Custom force setting with either fixed or adjust-yourself option
• Over 2500 different combinations

Note: Non standard stroke lengths, tube lengths, thread sizes are available on request

End Fittings & Brackets

A wide range of End Fittings and Brackets are available, some of which are shown here. Please contact our sales office to discuss your specific requirements.

Swift & Sure - Stainless Steel
Minimize

Swift & Sure - Stainless Steel

Manufactured using 316L stainless steel, this range of gas springs gives increased corrosion resistance in industrial, marine and coastal environments having been subjected to over 1000 hours of salt spray testing. Stainless steel Swift & Sure gas springs are available in an extensive range of sizes. With a specially prepared chrome plated rod surface finish for additional hardness and protection against high levels of corrosion. Stainless steel Swift & Sure gas springs are ideally suited for use in harsh environment applications such as marine engine covers, doors and applications requiring high levels of cleanliness like the food, pharmaceutical and medical industries.

Benefits:
• High corrosion resistance for external applications
• 1000 hours salt spray tested
• 316L Stainless Steel tube & rod
• Additional hardness and corrosion resistance via a special surface finish
• High corrosion resistant gas spring
• Custom design sized to your application

Note: Non standard stroke lengths, tube lengths, thread sizes are available on request

Econoloc
Minimize

Econoloc

The Econoloc gas spring eliminates the need for separate safety rods in critical lift-assist applications.

Simple to use, they operate automatically. When the gas spring is fully extended a spring loaded locking shroud moves into place, preventing the gas spring from compressing.

The Econoloc is manually released by applying thumb pressure to the designated area of the locking shroud, allowing the gas spring to compress in a controlled manner. The locking shroud is finished with the same epoxy coating as the gas spring body, providing excellent corrosion resistance. A guide inside the shroud prevents scratching of the gas spring cylinder.

The Econoloc range of gas springs combine superior quality with the added safety feature required in many heavy duty applications such as trucks, construction machinery, switch gear and agricultural equipment. A single Econoloc gas spring can be used in conjunction with a standard Swift & Sure version.

Benefits:

• Fail-safe and eliminates the need for separate safety rods in critical lift-assisted operations
• Safe and easy to use
• Self contained unit
• Maintenance free
• Operates automatically

Note: Non standard stroke lengths, tube lengths, thread sizes are available on request

Stop & Stay
Minimize

Stop & Stay

Stop & Stay gas springs incorporate a collect mechanism which once correctly adjusted (about half a turn) to suit the application allows for variable friction settings, providing a ‘stick-slip’ operation of the gas spring.

Typically, the gas spring force is pre-set to carry the weight of the application (eg a canopy) in the normal manner. This allows the user to raise, lower and position the canopy in any position using the minimum of effort and in quick time.

Stop & Stay gas springs are ideal for a wide variety of applications such as printer canopies, monitor arms, acoustic hoods, delicatessen counters, sunbeds and many more.

Benefits:

• Multi-position holding of counter-balanced weights
• Simple adjustment to determine correct setting
• Positional control
• Safe to use and operate
• Maintenance free
• Available in stainless steel

Note: Non standard stroke lengths, tube lengths, thread sizes are available on request

Varilfit
Minimize

Vari-Lift

All Swift & Sure, Econoloc, Stop & Stay and stainless steel gas springs are available in a Vari-Lift version which can be adjusted to meet individual preferences as well as being adjusted whilst in position saving you both time and effort.

The gas springs are charged to their maximum force during manufacture. By using the standard tool provided, gas can be gradually released via the Vari-Lift valve at the end of the tube to provide the force suited to your application. Once this had been established, we will then arrange to measure this force and provide production fixed force gas springs to your precise requirements.

Vari-Lift gas springs can also be used if panel weights vary. These will allow you to provide the perfect solution to your customer’s needs every time.

Benefits:
• No need to calculate force
• Adjustable to any force within range
• Force can be adjusted after insulation
• Simple adjustment using standard tool supplied
• Ideal for prototyping and short production runs
• Available as an option on most types of Camloc gas springs
 •Ideal where application weights vary
• Available in stainless steel

Dampers
Minimize

Dampers

Camloc dampers are self contained rod and tube assemblies without gas. The hydraulic damping unit comprises of a tube, rod and piston system with the movement of the piston through the oil creating the damping characteristics.

Generally, dampers are specifically designed to influence the characteristics of movement by providing the controlled arrest of a weight or lid across a variety of industrial applications. Typical motion control uses for dampers include velocity control, deceleration control and momentum change.

Benefits:

• Self contained unit
• Maintenance free
• Compact design with high durability and reliability
• Operating temperature range from -40ºC to +100ºC
• Custom design, sized to your application

Note: Non standard stroke lengths, tube lengths, thread sizes are available on request

Blocklift
Minimize

Blocklift

The Camloc range of Blocklift gas springs work like conventional gas springs with the addition of an internal locking mechanism that can be stopped immediately in any position. This locking mechanism only allows the spring to move while the release pin, located on either the end of the piston rod or the tube end is activated.

Adjustable Blocklifts are commonly used for; back rest adjustment of passenger seats on buses, trains and office chairs, adjustable hospital beds, massage tables and wheelchairs and height adjustment on tables and desktops.

The majority of Blocklift gas springs are also available in 304 and 316L stainless steel.

A wide range of hydraulic, cable and lever release systems are available for Blocklift gas springs.

Note:
• Type 1 - release pin located on piston rod
• Type 2 - release pin located on tube end
